When does the next big game (graphically) come out?

Now that UT2007 is pushed back until 3/07, when does the next big, graphically intense, game come out? I want to know when I probably should upgrade my graphics card.
 
WTF is Epic thinking?!? 😕

Crysis is far better graphically than UT2k7, so for it to come out before UT2k7 is not good.

what are they rendering the demo vids on?

 
If I remeber correctly the E3 stuff was shown on a crossfire setup.

This game will not require Vista and DX10 to play once its released.

It will be one of the first games to "support" DX10.

The original vids from before E3, showcasing the engine, were done on modern hardware, and from developer interviews, it seems like it wasnt even on a top-of-the line rig. So, if you own a 7 or X1K series grapihics card, you should be fine 😉

The reason that the E3 demos and videos were so poor-running was because they were forcing a crossfire x1900xt set-up to run next-gen DX 10 features, so don't worry about those vids.

Epic probably doesn't care.
There is a list of 32 other games using the Unreal Engine 3 license (Wikipedia)
Assume maybe $500,000 per license and you get $16 million dollars.
UT2007 ain't gonna make $16 million dollars, neither is Crysis.
Epic is rich enough already without worrying about releasing UT2007 😉

But on that note, it may be possible one of the other games using UE3 might come out this year, but I'm not going to check the release dates for them all to find out.


And way to go assuming Crysis will hit its release date :roll:

They both use the Doom 3 engine, so they are not really big graphically IMO. Well, the Doom 3 engine does have fairly good graphics, but it's not next gen like other engines anymore.

This is the video forum, I'm sure there's more of those threads in the Software forum. I just wanted to know which games will come out that will make me want to upgrade my system.
 
True I'm interested in this thread topic also.

Although I will say (and I'll get some screens when I stop being lazy), Oblivion modded up the wazoo with and X1900XTX and HDR+AA is utter madness
