When does spring bloom in Yosemite Park?

I will be visiting the park on a photo expedition and would like to catch the place while all the flowers and trees are have come in to their full green. But I want to avoid the tourist season and will visit before Memorial Day. Has anyone been to the park in early May? I am thinking of going May 12-14th or May 19-21. It?s a little cheaper for me to go the first week, but I won?t do it at the expense of missing all ?greenery.?

I've never been to Yosemite (outside of winter) when there wasn't bunches of tourists there. I ran into a busload of people from Japan before at odd times of the year.

Depends on the snowpack and where you want to go.

I was there on May 26-31 a few years back. I can't remember what the greenery was like, but there was still about 6 inches of snow on the ground in every shaded area. I'll look at my pictures later and check the greenery.

Edit: Nevermind. Being the dope that I am, I thought you said Yellowstone.

Actually it snowed 2006 Memorial Day weekend.
