When does new batch of xboxes come out?

I need 1 before christmas for my son...but do not ant to pay more than 300$ for the system. Am i gunna be able to pull this off? i live in small town with walmart and kmart....are they gunna keep up with demand?

I don't think so, $300 is only gonna get your kid the console, I think he is gonna want to play games on it. The bundles are $400 and I believe they are only sold as bundles. Kinda like giving him a PC with no harddrive.

the console itself with just one controller is $300, every game after that is like $50.

they're going for $400+ on eBay for just the console, with the rush i really doubt you'd be able to get one within the year, good luck though

Just wait a couple weeks...they are going to ship more. Might want to call any department stores around you (or anywhere that might sell it) and see if they know when the next shipment is coming.

They should be pumping out the units from here on out. I'd say you'll be able to get one with no problem.

The rush? Check the gaming boards... everyone is saying how amazed they are that most places the X-Box ISN'T sold out...

You're in a small town with a WalMart.. i'm sure you'll get one. It's not as popular as the PS2. People have been making posts about going to Best Buy or Target and seeing 15-20 of them... when the PS2 came out.. they were gone within hours... minutes even.

I don't think you'll be seeing outrageously high prices for the X-Box like we did for the PS2... not enough people want the little black PC...

It depends on the area. Larger cities and Canada ARE sold out. There will be 700,000 more shipped by years end with the next shipment being drop shipped on Monday from my understanding.. I will say this. All Wal Marts in the DFW area had all their Xbox's sold before midnight. Not sold but people waiting in line. The PS2 sold out quicker because uh there were less of them(the Xbox shipped more than 300,000 it was more like 500,000 from my understanding).

the 2nd batch will arrive saturday at SOME locations, while the others will get them on monday, dont worry about not being able to get one for christmas.

Turns out Flextronics/MS have shipped more than the 600,000 they originally said they were for launch. Which proves those Anaylst numbers of 300,000 wrong. Of course these are just more anaylst numbers, but they are clsoer than that 300,000 number. Flextronics and MS won't give exact numbers though other that 20-27,000 per day, six days a week, and they were at at "peak" for the last month, peak being over 20,000 per day...

bill gates on live tv said it was 400,000 at launch. was on fox news earlier today and said sales were going well.

I guess the the other 100-200k were the units that shipped for this weekend/monday.. Shipment after that is the day before Thanksgiving, for the day after thanksgiving..

They dont have a supply problem, but they do have a distribution problem... Alot of late/missed shipments for games and accessories. The vast majority of the DVD remots were shipped late and will be in store today..
