Its greenish/black and looks disgusting but smells like nothing. Fortunately it has 0 odor.

I heard it starts smelling after eating solids?

Once the black stuff works its way out that is when it will smell. The black stuff is the fluid that teh bidy had in it before. After that is food. Breast milk does not smell as bad, formula will.

My son is 1 1/2 years old and man he can make some stinky stuff that will bring a tear to your eye.

I've been diaper free for almost a year now. Thank god I don't have to do that crap anymore.

edit: and it will take a while, but yes, solids and formula make a kids' crap smell.

Strange as it seems.... when your kids are older... you will miss all the poop.

It really does gets brutal when they are too old for diapers and too young to go into a bathroom by themselves.

Not to mention it's usually right after they get dressed and always at the most inopportune times/places.

Formula will definitely make it start to stink but solid foods are worse. The nurses in the NICU would give my daughter formula occasionally even though she was only supposed to be fed breast milk so I've never really had a baby that was stink free.

enjoy the black tarry stuff now. Currently my daughter is 8 weeks old. Around week three she was eating formula full time and oh boy does she stink up a storm. And no after five weeks I am still not used to it. Just awful awful stuff.

Wait until you pick the kid up and find it's filled it's entire sleeper and now it's starting to come the neck hole both front and back. Good times.

Had that the other day, only option was to strip him down and rinse him off in the shower. No amount of baby wipes can save you when your kids drops half his body weight in liquid poo and rolls around in it.

My kids' didn't until they started solids. If you don't breastfeed, then they'll stink from day one. Formula poop is nasty.
