When do you think was/is/will be the best time of your life?

What I mean is if you view the best time of your life as a past or future experience. If it's in the past, do you think about it sometimes? Remember the happy moments? Or just look for more in the future?

My senior year in high school has been the highlight so far. Many fond memories.

Coming up? Graduating college in December, and then I guess the day I propose to my g/f, probably in a couple years.

The best time of my life is long gone. *sigh*

[shimmeringflashbacksound] 1987. 19 years old. Left home to move in w/my GF that "I was deeply in love with" <--whatever.

Had a car (POS, but a car) had a job. (good money) Had a nice 1-BR apt with the GF that was looking good and taking care of business. We had friends, we went out a lot. What a damn blast.

[/shimmeringflashbacksound]

Then reality hit. Nasty breakup, police involved, move back in with parents. (how damn embarassing) Bills, bills, bills, layoffs, failed relationships, etc, etc, etc.

Now I am old and jaded making a comfortable living but still not happy. I need a new TV...that would make me happy.

so, my Glory Days are long past. Soon, I will die. But in the meantime, I try to live life to the fullest.

Probably around when I'm 50. Kids will be out of, or very close to out of school and on their own. Financial situation will be VERY stable, and I'll still be realatively young enough to enjoy life without any sort of physical impairment yet (hopefully!). At that point the biggest decision will be "Honey, where are vacationing this month?"

Mine would be summer 96, my son was born. I was afraid at first but when I held him and looked into his eyes I was happy, truly happy. The happiest point in my life bar none. Second would be Winter 2000 when my daughter was born which is a close second. I still have to say the first born and being a dad was the ultimate. The rest of my life is lived so my son and daughter can have a good life, I do not care all that much about happy or best now, I want the best for them.

I've had a few good times in the past, but I wouldn't call any of them the best time in my life as I still have a long ways to go.

I would like to have the best time of my life will be when I get to live & experience life with my true love... or when I'm with 2 girls at once ;)

I think of a constant, content sort of happiness as a future occurance. I truly think it will come when I am in love with someone who is in love with me, and that we love each other the same way...I hope that makes sense.

However, that doesn't mean that I don't find happiness randomly all the time, like hearing that perfect song to car-dance too when I am in rush hour, when someone cracks me up on IM, or just doing something, small or big, that makes someone else's life better or helps them along.

The best times are yet to come....

probably when I was about 5 - 8 age like that preschool - 3rd grade. I don't remember much, but I do remember being so happy playing with my friends all time, shooting marbles, basketball, going to the pool, taking naps, just jumping around and running around for no particular purpose or reason. never been happier really except when I'm surfing now but even that doesn't really measure up to the unbridaled joy. Hmm I'm surprised I remembered as much.

I wouldnt call it a moment but truely where my college years was when I was the happiest. Even though I have my own place and making money, but I do miss the pressure in school, friends are always around, missing couple classes to hang out. Life just seemed so much easier when you're young. But I am still waiting on my moments to come. But I was really happy when I took a vacation to Thailand couple weeks ago. But I think my best days are yet to come.

Probably in grade school, 4th grade to be exact. Other highlights: 8th grade, senior year in high school, summer after college freshman year (it was all just a mind-altered haze). Since then it's been downhill more or less.

Sometimes (No laughing, I am serious!), when I look at Skoorb and think about how lucky we are....those make for some very wonderful moments. :)

My junior/senior years of high school were great. Now I'm looking forward to the next 4-5 years of college.

I'm having a pretty good time right now...just started college, made some friends, even a bit of romance to distract me from the homework =)
