When do they usually refresh the iPod?

My wife broke her zune months ago and has been borrowing my zune hd a bit too often. She likes the zune but, deep down, I know she really misses her iPhone app experience (we're no longer on ATT so she's a droid/zune nerd right now). I think I should reclaim my zune and get her an iPod... But I bet there's a refresh right around the corner - when are they usually scheduled for?

Ha- I saw that before posting and was about to pull the trigger. But a Sep. refresh means I'll just wait.

Is this rumored to be very similar to the iPhone 4, or are they just cramming a camera into the existing touch?

Your last question is one that has generated a good bit of discussion among various bloggers/analysts.

It is hard to see Apple including everything that is found in the iPhone 4 (except the GSM radio)....especially as the rear camera is apparently too big to fit in the iPod Touch's body. If i had to guess I would say that the new iPod Touches will get a front facing camera, a 3.2 megapixel rear camera, a gyroscope, and a slight redesign. I have a hard time seeing them getting the higher res rear camera and the retina display....

Very good to know, def. worth waiting for even with only a lower end camera.
