When do I get worried about my USPS shipment?

I got an awesome deal through buy.com / GC for 32 bucks shipped on the headset. Well, I ordered it on November 28th...

Here is the latest status from the usps tracking website:

When should I start getting worried and making phone calls (like that would help anyway)? It has been sitting there for 2 weeks now.

edit: and HEBRON, KY is only 289 miles away from my house.

Seriously, though, I'd been worried after it sat there for one week, let alone two. I'd make some calls right now.

Did you get it shipped priority mail? Doesn't USPS have a guarantee or some sort?

But yeah, a few calls would be a good idea. It seems like it's too early for the holiday shipping jam to come into effect now.

Not sure what type of mail it is through USPS, but I do have a tracking number.

I've been searching through the site for a number to call, but I can't seem to find one. All I can find is "go to your local post office".

I have had issues where USPS didn't update the tracking info. Still since you don't have it this is a problem. I would get on the phone with USPS and get them to give you some info.

Local Post office works too.

if nothing else, the local post office can transfer you to a corporate center to talk about the matter... at least give them a phone call, can't hurt.

Hm... I have the same thing with one of my Buy.com packages. It says that it arrived at the Hebron, KY facility on 12/6 and has just sat there since. WTF?

$20 says it's not USPS, its buy.com

Everytime I have ordered from them I have gotten slow shipping, even though their tracking says shipped. They drop ship most of thier stuff, and thier package tracking is a joke. They cancelled my order for my Westy 37w3 2 days after I recieved it, they didn't even know they'd shipped it out yet. I had a thumb drive mailed fedex take 2 weeks, and it didn't even arrive in a fedex truck, it was some second tier cheapo company using fedex's name.

Notice your tracking says "Shipping Partner Facility, USPS might just now be actually recieveing your package.

oh yea... on another note, i made an order from buy.com for a bluetooth headset and it took 15 days to arrive (came in the mail today). (i chose budget ground (ie. free) shipping) ... i order a lot from buy.com and usually it only takes 3 business days to arrive, so i think they are probably swamped with orders... giving that its the holiday season and the incredible $20 off $50 google checkout deal pumpin, they are probably having more orders than any other time of the year (or the past for that matter)

I took that directly from USPS's website, what does the "partner" facility mean? Does that mean those slimy Buy.com people are sitting on the package still? Hmm, I figured it just fell of the conveyor at the shipping facility.

Maybe I should call Buy.com instead.

Buy.com was totally unhelpful when I called. THIS is the "fedex" tracking number they gave me. Tried it on Fedex's real site and it wouldn't work, called buy.com and they swore fedex had it and it was enroute. I know the number doesn't work now, but you can tell thats not fedex's real site. It was some discount shipper using fedex's name. It took over 2 weeks for the package to make it 300 miles.

I'd assume it's Buy.com in this case. I have visibility into our DC's operations (for HP and IBM) - if we see that the "package data has been electronically transferred", normally that means a tracking number was generated, but that package may never have been picked up.

With USPS' crap they like to call tracking, it could just be that they're taking an awful long time too. But my money is on Buy.com.
