Had something shipped from Newegg on Friday. UPS received it into their facility by 11PM Friday. It hasn't moved since.

The thing that pisses me off is Newegg gave them the package @ 7PM.. if UPS had the package by 5:30PM I'd be guaranteed delivery by Friday :|

If it is ground than I think it is either 5 or 7 business days before you can complain.

    Fixed.

just because they havent updated the site.. doesn't mean it hasnt moved.

In the upper left, there's something that should say SCHEDULED DELIVERY DATE .. what does it say?

The estimated delivery date is blank. It has been the whole time. From experience though it usually takes 8-11 days to receive packages from UPS.

    This just updated last night:

10/27/2009 00:06:00 INCORRECT ROUTING AT UPS FACILITY / UPS INTERNAL ACTIVITY[X] ONTARIO, CA, US

*** you, UPS. I have never received a package from them that wasn't late or fucked up in some way. It's so bad I'm not going to order from Newegg anymore simply due to UPS.

your package was mis-loaded. Some destinations, especially in California can get as many as 5 thousand packages a shift. Sometimes they get into the wrong truck.
Its unfortunate, but it happens sometimes as much as 5 times or more a shift for a given area (usually 8 to 10 destinations).
I also find your last sentence exaggerated and can tell you, tough.

I have endless problems with the local UPS guys. Last time I had a package they held onto it for 7 days without attempting delivery, which was a total of roughly 15 days after the package left Newegg. When I showed up the UPS facility demanding my package they said they didn't have it. I demanded they look harder, oh look, my package. Then I ask why they didn't attempt delivery; She said UPS does not deliver packages to apartments, period. What??? Why didn't you call me on the number on the package? Oh, we did, we left a message. No... you didn't, I have Voicemail and I received no messages. Oh.

I have many stories like this... I wouldn't be all that upset about this particular delay if it didn't happen every_fucking_time.

Still hasn't moved. I hope whoever stole the package is enjoying their new laptop. I hope Newegg treats me well when I claim the stolen package.

Well.. when you paid for shipping... what did you pay for?

how can you claim a package is stolen when it hasnt even been delivered yet.

Hell.. it's only been 2 business days (ups doesnt deliver on saturday or sunday unless you paid massive extra) ... if you paid for "egg saver" shipping .. you HAVE to give it 3-7 business days for delivery.

i'm guessing since you're shipping to canada, that's UPS 3-day freight
.. so 3-4 business days. i'd wait another 2 days before complaining about shipping.. especially since you noted above that it was marked today:
10/27/2009 00:06:00 INCORRECT ROUTING AT UPS FACILITY / UPS INTERNAL ACTIVITY[X] ONTARIO, CA, US

that's going to delay it a day i'd guess.

I don't know where you live but as someone else pointed out, Saturday and Sunday are not transit days. I'm up in WA which is 3 day TNT by ground so if I order something on a Friday and it's actually shipped that day the earliest I can expect it is Wednesday, 5 days later. Monday would be 1 day, Tuesday would be 2, and Wednesday would be 3, hence the 3 day TNT.

One thing to always look for is the sch delivery date. This is built off of both the billing upload date and the first scan. More often then it should happen shippers will upload info to UPS (happens when they print a label) but won't actually turn over the package, especially on a Friday. This causes the package to show in the system when it's not actually there.

In your case you have an Ontario, CA scan but nothing afterwards tells me they missed an origin scan. If thats the case then all that will be there is the billing upload so no delivery date until the next sort touches and scans the package. Since you had an update from a Monday sort you should now see an est delivery date. This will generate since the package now has an origin scan on it, even though it's not from the origin building (baldwin park, CA most likey).

As a note Ontario is one of the largest air hubs for UPS. Across the country it goes Ontario (ONT), Louisville (SDF), and Rockford (RFD) for the 1DA network. 2DA/3DS packages also transit through those facilities but they can hit places like Dallas (DFW) and Philly (PHL) as well. You said it shipped standard but the fact that it went to Ontario tells me they though it was air since that facility should not really be handling ground.

BTW, if you PM me the tracking number I can pull some additional info on the package using our internal tools. If you have not figured it out yet I work for UPS in their engineering department.
