When someone posts on here something wherein it's obvious they are pirating they recieve a lot of hostility. I think we need to be reminded of the mind set we were in when we did the same things and hope that they will someday wisen up as you have.

but then again, yall are probably perfect and have never pirated a piece of software in your life.

edit: added crap to the poll

im sure ppl show complain about it also do it. pirating music is pretty much 2nd nature now a days, i almost take it for granted. im sure that will change when im out of school and theres not kick ass school network any more :(

I've paid for a few things - Guild Wars, HL2, HL, ... Diablo and Diablo 2 ... anything that I wanted to play online.

I pirate and I will never stop pirating.

I try out what I see, and if I like it, I will go buy it.

Never again will I waste money.

What about renting games to try them? I wouldn't want to be running apps from who knows where on my machine plus the nusence too. Just seems like bad security practice. Plus the websites one must vist are probably dodgy security wise as well.

I was never too into it, treating my downloads as 'demos' that I would buy if I liked. I realized that I could just play real demos for most games, and they were smaller downloads. I've never really been too much into music, so I haven't d/l too much of anything else.

I've never stolen software/music/plagurized.

I don't like people stealing from me, so I don't steal from other people. If I did steal from other people, I would have no right to complain when people stole from me.

Same. I never thought I would stop, but then I started earning an income.

why'd I quit? "D-I-A-L-U-P" No more cable modem for me. If God didn't want me to download, God wouldn't have allowed broadband to be invented.

Reason #2: I ran out of good songs. And, there have been virtually no songs worth downloading in the past 5 years or so.

edit: note: the majority of songs I downloaded were songs I had on albums and cassettes. I prefer the MP3 format and am too lazy to rip from cassette. And, I hate the rewind button for cassettes.

I've lost interest in pirating because between work, school, my girlfriend, my friends and my near 100 dvds I have plenty to do.

I got bored of downloading stuff like 2 years ago. If I want something I usually buy it now.
