Well, Here I am, after my first semester of college.... My second starts on Monday...

I have no clue what I want to do, here is what I've been thinking: (and have been for the past 3 years)
Business (Graduate from Michigan State, where I am now, then go to U of M for a Masters, and continue on to some other college for my Ph.D, idealy Stanford)
Chiropractic (Finish here at MSU with business, but taking the required classes for chiropractic school, then continue on to chiropractic school)

I have little to no interest in engineering, sociology, psychology or any of that crap.

I'm taking course that may help me... Microeconomics next semester... alot of people I know that have graduated said after they took this class they figured out what they wanted to do... (something related to economics/business) I'm hoping it'll help me too.

Michigan State just raised the bars for the business school to a 3.5 gpa, which shouldn't be hard to accomplish, I have 3 semesters left and I got just above a 3.5 fall semester.

When did you figure out what you want to do? (at least major wise)

The second time I went to college, after working retail for a few years 😱

after my first year of college, I completely changed gears. I was going for business administration, and moved to a network administration degree.

I started porgramming several years before attending college, and had decided on a software development career before I arrived.

I considered getting a Ph.D but decided while in grad school that I'd rather go back to building real software than get the Ph.D to teach and do research.

If I get a Ph.D, it likely wouldn't be to go back and teach.... I'd follow my dads footsteps and become a consultant.... I like what he does... and I like his pay.

I'm 37, and still haven't figured it out. Fortunately, what I'm doing now pays pretty well... 😛

Drugs?

I have wanted to do something with computers all my life... like many my age. Unfortuneately by the time I come out of college there will probably be a flood of people with Comp Sci degrees. I'm going to keep on doing what I'm doing though.

Physical therapists are in HUGE demand now right here in Mi. I am in therapy (physical everyone not mental) and my therapist tells me there is a shortage now and will be for at least several more years. I heard the same thing on the news too. You could write your ticket if you became a therapist.
A therapist assistant is 4 years and a therapist is 7 years. The one I am seeing is going back for his Masters soon.
