I'm not that angry because Minnesota is sorta like an unofficial province here.

The sad part is that Tim's is not even Canadian. Somebody patriotic needs to start a new coffee/donut chain that is truly Canadian and try to compete. I suppose the fact that Tim Horton's is based off a hockey player makes it kinda Canadian and despite the actual company no longer owned or run from here it kinda stuck.

I post this as I sip on my Timmy's coffee lol.

Does anyone actually eat at Tim Horton's or just get coffee? My wife and I ate at one a few years ago and it could possibly be the worst place I have ever eaten. Their donuts are terrible to boot. How do you fuck up a donut? The coffee was OK though.

They eliminated local baking, instead ship frozen half cooked doughnuts to be finished at the store. Unless you are in a small town. Their food is crap, coffee is mediocre.

You have to watch more American network TV when it's not being simulcast and loaded with Canadian commercials... Timmy's goes by "Cafe and Bake Shop" down there and they remind you in every TV commercial spot.

But they're everywhere... Timmy gonna come get yo ass.

I sometimes get their sandwiches. They're ok, nothing to go crazy about but edible. The thing about Tim Horton's is the convenience. There is one practically at every block.

They're actually building one in my area, I'm actually kinda excited. :p

The one on every block thing is actually bad. They don't advertise it but from my experience, there are at least two types of Tim Horton's: a poverty turn-key operation and a proper restaurant. The poverty turn-key primarily sells coffee with a small variety of donuts and baked goods. The restaurant actually has most of the chain's advertised products and lunch options.

Same thing happened a bunch of years ago with Dunkin Donuts. It's garbage now, though DD's Coffee is damn good bordering on excellent.

Pretty much Capitalism at work. A company starts out great with a certain vision then it just turns into a profit machine where everything else does not matter anymore. This is why if ever I start a company I am never going public. If anything I would make it a co-op.

It depends on the DD. My sister worked at one for a little over 16 months and the one she was at did the frozen shipped in donuts. She said that other DD do still make their donuts fresh on site though so it depends on the location.

Shitty Canadian coffee shop chain that agreed to be bought by a Brazilian multinational.
Shitty coffee, shitty donuts, overpriced shitty sandwiches, yet Canadians seem to be addicted to it.
