When did they start checking ID for Robitussin and Dayquil now?

So weird... that would be sad if some underage kid tried to get drunk off dayquil. I guess there are a lot of sick people right now, all 3 people in line including me got their IDs checked.

Because parents think the world should be watching thier kids. It's another part of the attempt to childproof the world, rather than world proof the child.

Parents are becoming evermore adept at passing responsibility for their kids on to anyone and everyone else.

If I recall correctly, there's a "high" you can get from Robitussin. I know I heard my college friends talking about it one time.

Dunno about Dayquil.

Don't know about Dayquil, but Robitussin contains DXM. If you drink a whole bottle it causes hallucination. So kids use it improperly.

They check for ID on too many things now... I was picking up some regular STP injector cleaner fluid for my car at walmart and the message came up for the cashier to check ID, he didn't ask for it and just kept scanning. I've seen this on elmer's glue, pretty much any medicine, etc.

It's amazing where this world is going... reminds me of that joke of why we have stickers on christmas lighting that tells you it's for indoor or outdoor use only

oh dang...."Vicks changed the formulation of their popular NyQuil and DayQuil products, removing the active ingredient pseudoephedrine due to its use in making crystal meth. The new active ingredient does nothing for nasal congestion, and the entire product is less effective. Check the labels before buying your usual cold product to avoid "surprises"."

I don't believe they have to check ID on the fuel injector cleaner by law, that's up to Walmart. They do the same with spray paint.

It's cheap and easy, and apparently fun I guess. My friends in college got free generic Robitussin from the health center - they got high on the school's dime. :laugh:

Edit: And you can legally obtain the stuff in stores. Same with whipits or however it's spelled.

8 or 9 years ago my parents were out for the afternoon and left me and my sister home alone (she was 13, i was 14)

so im in my room playing video games and she comes and knocks on my door...i open up and shes acting really bizarre

she had a cold, and had taken some robitussin....but way too much of it. she was fvcked up weird for well over an hour.

neither of us had done anything like that before, but my mother put all the medicines in an even *higher* cabinet then before for years after that happened

Yup I guess whatever contains Dextromethorphan can be used to "robotrip".

They check because these products contain Pseudoephedrine (sudafed).
Pseudoephedrine is a main ingredient for cooking Methamphetamine (Crystal Meth).
