Ok, i might be really late to the party but I recently checked some on amazon and they are surprisingly affordable...

I might even consider upgrading my laptop. Wonder how long before they become mainstream.

If I'm remembering correctly, the new Intel 330 SSDs are going to run 60GB for $80 or so?

I have a 120GB Intel 510-series, but I might just have to pick up another one to run OSX on. Too cheap to not play around with it. :p

I'm considering grabbing a second crucial m4 just for my most played pc games. I Still have room on my current SSD, but I've been choosy about what I put on it lately.

If I can get a 500GB ssd for under $350 I will pick one up. But for the time being I am fine with an HDD.

They are just starting to get cheap enough for me to consider getting one with larger larger capacity than for just an OS.

I have an Intel 320 40GB that makes for a sprightly boot and for general OS tasks, would love to add another now for all my media and programs.

Hybrid drives like the Momentus XT are worth looking at for the large capacity, too.

I'm thinking about putting an mXT on my lappy, but then again, a 90gb ssd would be just as good cuz all my shiz is in the cloud.

I did this with 2 of the 64gb ones, I'm getting around 950mb/s, not really sure if I missed something. But I can't really tell the difference as much jumping from a single Agility 2, and then to this setup. Seems the most noticeable difference was the jump to ssd.

roughly this month....

before this month, a few deals will come every month at around $1/GB, mainly 60-120GB versions...

this month, i've seen dozens every week at that price point or better, especially 240GB versions

eg: Today http://slickdeals.net/ front page, 3 SSD deals...

two of them under $1/GB (OCZ and Corsair), other one is Intel 520 Sandforce... not too bad
