When did McDonalds stop making a large the standard size for meals

When did meals stop comming with large fries and drinks, as standard.

This was also before they had both go large, and supersize.

Well, I was never a big fan of McD's anyways. It seems like their quality has really gone down the crapper in the past few years though. As for me, I think I'll stick to the once in a very long time visit to wendy's. 2.99 value meal FTW. (crispy chicken meal)

Medium is standard. You get large when you Super Size the meal. Medium, fries used to be on the $1 menu but then they changed those to the Small fries and made Mediums like $1.35. I don't go to McDs any more because of that.
