That's not so. Only when the person is under the age of consent does the age difference apply, and in most states that age difference is 4 years, not 2.
16 is usually the age of consent in most states, so if they're 16 it's legit. If they are under 16, then you cannot be more than 4 years older than them.

So the ages you list are incorrect. 16 and 19 would be legal. 16 is legal with any age. She can't "legally" decide for herself since she is under 18, but you cannot legally be sued for statutory rape. Unless you are a legal guardian or are related to the person, 16 is legally legit.

Edit: I see you live in Florida, and according to Florida law 18 is the age of consent over there. So you're right about the age in your state, but in most other states the age is 16.
