Hi all !
Because i want to buy me a new computer in a few weeks , i'm very worried about the expencive rams ! a year ago you had to pay about 50$ for 64MB pc 100 ram . now you have to pay 80$ or more ! so it'S impossible for me to buy 256 MB and 128 MB are still very expencive !
So do you mean i sould wait with buying ram or do you think it will cost even more in future ?
Thanks ...

It's about $100 for 128MB PC100 SDRAM.

Where are you getting your prices from? Anyways, if you hang around the Hot Deals forum, you'll encounter some cheep cheep RAM that you can get shipped to you.

Also, don't forget to review the 'For Sale' section of this forum. Some good deals on 128 MB sticks pop up from time to time.

Unless you are looking for high quality ram, the prices will be pretty low. But when you start looking at awesome ram like Mushkin ram, the prices look pretty darn steep.

WEll it sorta does make sense, i mean with the release of 133mhz chipsets and with all of talk about ddr ram, i guess companies want to definately move on. Besides, pc100 has been around for a while, lol.

It seems that most hardware is far cheaper in the USA than it is anywhere else in the world. Probably one more reason why the rest of the world has so little patience for Americans whining and complaining. I mean we pay $1.65 for a gallon of unleaded gas and the vice president thinks that we need to tap our strategic petroleum reserves to reduce the prices! And we can pick up Voodoo 3 2000 PCI cards for $60 USD after rebate, where elsewhere they are 3 times that price. I, for one am thankful to live here and appreciate the opportunities this country provides.
