I seen this thread in HD and I just got my W2s. I also got a couple sets of paperwork regarding filing a few weeks ago.

Is this internet thing good? It sure sounds like it! I am 17, part-time job, only made around $5400 in a year, but I believe that is over the tax point. It's $4500 right? I made less than that last year so I got all the taxes paid back I think!

However, if I did that online thing, I would be filing as not dependent then? Last year I was just with my parents taxes and they gave me what I was to receieve and they ended up getting a little more than if I would have filed separately.

So please enlighten me, I don't really have any idea about all this taxes stuff!

You can still file online if your parents can claim you as a dependent. It's one of the things that they ask you as you go along.

I filed here: TaxFreedom.com. It's from the makers of Turbo Tax, so it's really easy to do :)
