When can we expect more Conroe mobos?

I know that the DFI Infinity 975X/G is out, and seems like it will suit my needs, but it really seems to be about the only thing out there with Crossfire support at or under the $200 price point (I just really cannot bring myself to spend almost $300 on a mobo.) I have not been able to find it in stock anywhere, though. :frown:

Does anyone know of any mobos like this coming out soon? or where the DFI is in stock?

This is my first build and I'm new to all this. Any help is appreciated.

August is suppose to see another wave of mobos come out. So far only a few companies have Conroe ready mobos out and even they have one or two models so expect to see more from them and the companies that have yet to launch any. I'm expecting the next wave to have more and better improved mobos than the first few revisions we have seen so far.

I really only have about a week, maximum, b4 I need have all my parts ordered. Is it worth waiting another week to see what comes out, or should I just go with what I can get today? (the Asus 975x)

I'm not one for jumping on bandwagons like this, but building an am2 or 939 system from scratch right now just doesn't seem to make sense to me..

The shipping dates we are seeing currently on a lot of new product (Conroe Boards) is in early August which translates to late August arrival here in the states (average timeline). I stated this several times but my biggest fear in the Intel launch was not CPUs but motherboards. It will be at least a month or so before the ATI chipsets are out and until ECS/MSI/Abit start shipping their 975x boards the prices will remain high. DFI was surprised by the sell out of their board so quickly, waiting on an answer when more will be available.

Cant hurt to wait one more week IMO . At the very least the current mobo selection should be more easily obtainable and maybe a few dollars cheaper.

Well, I've ordered my e6400, and it looks like I'll have to wait until August 10th or so to get it, so I'm going to hold out and see what I can get my hands on then. In the meantime, if anyone gets a Crossfire board set up and oc'ed I'd be very interested to see the results.

Thanks to Gary and Skott for the tips
