Hi there.

I'm doing a restore right now of a tape backup I made last week... just for verification.

And found that on some of the folders that contain the Databases of VSS (Visual Source Safe), there are red exclamation points (please take a look here: http://www.image-up.cn/uploads/b1d9e342ef.jpg )

The folders that failed where being used by computers left on with VSS client opened. Could that have something to do with it? What do the red ex. points mean?

Will this give me any problems restoring?

I got an answer on another forum saying that the problem was opened files. That sounds right, since the files with problems are 5 or 6 used by VSS (Visual Source Safe) that were opened.

Do you know a way to kill a connection to a shared folder for specified users only and not allow them to reconnect until, let's say, next day at 8 am?
