"Some of this aggression has caused people to commit armed robbery, use
force to obtain something, and physical fighting"

and heaven forbid you're in line ahead of one of them on the calf machine.

i was at the Gold's in San Diego once and some guy who was there with his
girlfriend got super-miffed. i used the machine for 2-3 minutes, did maybe
20 reps, i forget. he just FREAKED.

i always wondered if that was "normal rage" or "roid rage".

Whole bunch of photoshops in there.

Yup, the ones with myophile watermark are fake.

What is your proof for this?

The scary thing is, this is probably where bodybuilding will end up in the next 10-15 years.
I remember reading a paper on regulating the myostatin gene in mice for research into treatment for muscle wasting deseases. I'm guessing these photos are a mock ups for humans.

There was 1 boy, if i recall correctly, idenftified with a myostatin mutation, and at 3yrs old he could hold a cross when his parents held his hands out to the side (like gymnasts on the rings)

Myophile is a probably refering to the hate of myostatin, the gene that regulates muscle growth.

Check this out :

The 1st 2 myophile pictures are the most believable, but the guys shadow in the 1st pic leads you to believe his chest is only slightly wider than his head.

The vascularity on the guy on the beach is absurd when considering the lack of of muscular seperation.

Google search for 'Jay Cutler off season' to see what the current Mr Olympia looks like off season at about 310lbs. 4lb per inch is a holy grail, these guys look like 5lb per inch.

Tom Platz legs are real though. And thats hard enough to believe...

look at his inner calves, esp. his left (the one on the right).
obvious signs of a pshop.

Going with that..

http://www.lifeinthefastlane.c.../body_builder_6sfw.gif

Look at his right back area just above the shirt continuing NE to his shoulder. Shadows like that don't occur naturally nor with cameras. Those are the kind of pixilating shadows you get when stretching colors/textures in photoshop too far.

don't wonder too long, you might end up visualizing it !

then you'll have to live with that image for the rest of your life.

they look like a normal bodybuilder whose had the "pull" feature
used on them. that's a Maya modelling thing which is sort of like
sculpting in clay. "push" leaves a groove like you ran your finger
through the clay. "pull" is similar, with the opposite effect.

they look real, but i've never seen guys that big. it's been a while
since i picked up a body-building magazine.

do these guys actually win contests ? that body-type is actually
quite popular with the CGI set, maybe they could hire themselves
out like this guy

http://www.ballisticpublishing...e/ultimate03/index.php

it's just a whole bunch of pictures of a guy in a Speedo posing like an
art model. they sell the DVD's for $75.

some of those guys look comic-book ish.

i wonder if they have hairs in their ear like the guy in the Speedo ?

As mentioned above, some of those pictures are Photochopped to ridiculous lengths. Some of the others are obviously real. Some others are slightly modified, either by extreme focal length or subtle Photochopping.

Well, my daughter, who is four, comes close to doing that now. A child with low bodyweight and young muscles can do some amazing stuff, which is why the most able rock climbers in the world are usually young teens.

It's the older guys weighed down with adult bones and tissue that are impressive with the iron cross.

Christ, are you seriously believing that? Most of those are terrible photoshops. Bodybuilding does get out of hand, but those guys with huge chests/backs are terribly fake. You should look up the guy with the biggest chest. His was not even that big. You don't get width like all those bad photoshops. It is impossible to make your muscles stretch that far outward, even with steroids.

A lot of these look like photoshops... but, even if they are true -- too bad for them, huH?

People used to think I did steroids, but I was just naturally big. In fact I had to change gyms because the one I was going to didn't have enough weights for me. I used to bench 650 but then I hurt my shoulder so I don't lift anymore.

How long did you lift for? And you're not just "naturally big" if you're benching 650. You're big from lifting too :p

650 is a pretty high number...until recently close to the record. There is a guy that did half a ton, but I am not sure if it was a real bench press or some 1/4 crap.

Yeah most at the beginning were obviously chopped, then the quality of the images started to fade down the line so its even easier to hide then. These are definitely disgusting either way.
