Is there a date or an idea when they'll be available? I just sold off my Rampage and 3930K and going back to mainstream.

Within April you can expect Z77 boards from many/most manufacturers and most models to become easily available, at least in USA. In India, it may take 15-30 days longer :(

There is nothing as 3750k, it is 3570k or 3770k. And with your budget I recommend to only consider 3770k and get water cooling as well :)

Saw the Maximus V but 350 for a board is nuts. Might look at ASRock again
The ASRock Z77 Extreme4 just doesn't appeal to me as much as the GEN3 version of their Z68, it just looks weak but official reviews might suggest otherwise. ASRock's UEFI BIOS seems more polished this time around though, looks a lot better.

Aren't the ROG boards typically around the $300-400 ball park?

If you have to go Asus, you can go for the Pro model which should be around $250 at launch :)

I am seriously considering the MSI Z77A GD80 (or GD65 if the GD80 isn't available at the same time) for my upgrade :)

-watch the PLX chips on the z77 boards ,
having your 7970's - if you care about it .
[However, what is noteworthy is that thanks to a new PLX PCI-E Gen.3 switch this model will support 4-Way SLI and 4-Way CrossFireX, all while remaining in PCI-E 3.0 mode. This new switch is apparently really expensive, so it is not found on any of the other models revealed so far.]

seems like asus cheaped out on the pci-e for their gaming boards lol
-will it matter for 2 cards or less -not sure
-tons of useless features FTW

No E5-2687W?? :(

Friend of mine got one a few days before mine arrived and couldn't overclock it at all so i figured whats the point? It showed up on friday and i refused the delivery. Easier way then taking a 15% hit returning it to newegg

Ah, I see. Yeah, it's a bummer that those chips aren't OC'able...
