When are the nForce4 motherboards coming out?

I've got a hankering for some Dual PCI-X 6800 goodness on an A64. How long do I have to wait???

Current dates have it shipping to motherboard manufacturers around the end of this year. Then the motherboard manufacturers have to build designs based on that chipset. I'd guess end of Q1 '05 to be safe. At this point it's way too early to tell for sure.

Not in the NEAR future anyway.

I am sure NV is busting their b@lls to get his thing to retail by xmas. That is probably the only time of the year that little Johnny can convince his parents to get him a new system with dual 6800Ultras (probably from Alienware). If NV can't have it out by then they will probably take a little extra time. I think Jan/Feb is probably the most reasonable estimate.

hrm. maybe paper launch by christmas. but i dont think in anyway will anybody have nforce4 boards by xmas. maybe xmas 05.

I sure hope any "paper launch" they do (I hate that term now) won't be as bad as the situation with the 6800's, because that's what I'm waiting for myself.

Yeah, but Alienware's system is a custom job, I'm waiting on just motherboard availability.
