When are the next gen video cards due out?

Heres to hoping the R520 is a new design, it feels like all we have had out of ATI is suped-up 9700 pros for the last four years. I love my 9800xt but am really looking for something more cutting edge and I would like to stay with ATI if possible.

Are you crazy man. Then there'd be five camps of fanboys and 20 different ways to start a flamefest!! :frown:

i suspect they know they'll have to make a complete shift for the next gen or risk loosing significant market share to nvidia.

Here's to hoping that too

thats a trivial bad compared to the benefit to us as consumers that competition would bring 😉

Perhaps not 5, but three (maybe four, but three sounds best, then they could all be big enuff for serious R&D) would be good, then they wouldn't dare paper launch or at least one competitor would go for the throat and nick marketshare off the offender.
