when are the new athlons and nv30 coming out?

new athlon 2800 or something like that and the nv30 and 28. I was wondering cause i'm planning to buy a new comp but didn't know if i should wait a little longer so that the price will go down.

you could always take advantage of the low price drops of the vid cards and CPUs since the new products came out .... unless ur getting the 64bit processor.

NV 30 is coming out in November-December, while Athlon 2800XP+ is coming out first or second quarter of next year.

Keep waiting for the prices to go down with computer hardware, and you'll be waiting forever. Best to just buy something now, and don't look at any ads for the next few months. You won't get mad about the price dropping then.

Well, the Athlon 2400 and 2600 are supposed to hit the streets first week of October. If the NV30 really does come out before Xmas, then that is the best time to buy. I always wait until the newest release to push the previous best down to cheaper prices. For example, on pricewatch the P4 2.8 is $489 and the 2.53 is $233. You get just a little slower than the best out there and you save quite a bit. So I always time it just after a release.
