I never picked up the answer to this question in common-knowledge school:

When are restaurants the least busy?

I understand that Friday and Saturday nights are the busiest times of the week... but what are the least busy nights? What time is the "dinner rush"? or the "lunch rush"?

And how do those times change when the restaurant in question is also a bar (open late, near a college campus)?

Even on weekends. That's when older people eat. They have figured out long ago that that's when you go to the restaurant. It takes about 40 years to learn this common sense. Now thanks to ATOT, you have it as well.

3-5pm usually slowest.

Even on weekends? Or are popular restaurants usually busy all day

Generally for all restaurants. That's usually when they close and have lunch.
