When are RD790 for sale?

Ok I am gonna buy a new system in 1-2 month time and I am pretty sure I will go with a hd2950 (The one coming nov. 14.) and a amd phenom. But There is a good chance the new CPU's are gonna be short supply (Not the thing AMD is best at) So I consider buying a very cheap AM2 motherboard with the new RD790 chipset which looks nice, but when are they released? I can see in an article that they on their way, but any difitive date?

RD790 mobos like GA-MA790FX-DQ6 aren't going to be cheap - think X38 prices.

Well aint they gonna release some with some cutdown features? I cant remember all the model numbers. but something like 780 and such.

I dont need wifi and memory cooling, 1 crossfire slot and coxial output

Gigabyte's GA-MA790FX-DQ6 will cost you AU$399.00 which, when converted, is about US$360 or ?250.

That is an insane price for that motherboard though but the 770 looks nice, just needs another model with coxial audio. Would 150$ be a good guess for the 770 as a approximate price?

But all the new amd chipset motherboards will be released together with the phenom?

There are three chipsets to be released officially on November 20:

790FX (RD790): CF x16
790X (RD780): CF x8
770 (RX780): no CF (the same as RD780 other than that)

Wikipedia states that the 770 (RX780) has a PCI-E x16 slot. And the OP may or may not (TPM ?) like to wait until late 07/early 08 when the SB600 on the release mobos will be replaced by the SB700:

So what? Every latest mb has at least one PCI-E x16 slot.
