The current powerbooks have been out for almost a year and the prices have remained the same. Does anyone know when something new is coming out? I just dont want to buy a powerbook today and see something new come out next week, then my powerbook would be worthless and i could have gotten something a whole lot better :)

It's been almost a year... I KNOW something new will come out. Any ideas?

the prices have not remaimed the same, they lowered the prices a couple months back. Some rumors i have heard have been Macworld expo which is this month. I wouldn't think it would be to much longer.

may not happen at the Expo either.

Jobs isn't speaking at it and Apple seems to only have a small presence, from what I've heard. You'd think they'd do it before September to try and get those back to school sales on the PBG4 and the iBook.

MWNYCP (macworld new york creative pro) is tomorrow, keynote is at 9 AM EST, but most people are saying due to the G5's release at WWDC, it is unlikely that there will be any huge hardware changes, altho the 15" powerbook is due for a overhaul. In other words, we wont know until tomorrow morning. Dont expect any updates on the 12" or 17" for a while though. Been considering a 12" for myself, but I cant see spending $1700 for a mac when I cna get a faster 600m with a centrino for $300 less. OSX rocks, but apple needs to make their hardware more affordable.
