When are keyboard or screen hooks legitimate?

I recently installed Snoop Free Privacy Shield on my computer, and it reported both Microsoft Outlook and Adobe Acrobat as applications that were requesting access to the screen and/or keyboard. Are there instances where these requests are legitimate, or do I have a keylogger lurking on my system?

Those are very odd errors lol. Im not familiar with the product...maybe read the owners manual?

/joking: Maybe it is asking if you really want adobe to send bits and bytes to the pixels on your monitor? Or maybe its asking if you really want to type something?
