Is it just me or do HSFs keep getting larger and larger as CPUs get faster and faster? I mean just compare a HSF for a 386 CPU and a HSF for any of the new CPUs. The HSFs for the new CPUs dwarf it big time. It seems that HSF technology is just getting out of date to me. When are alternative cooling systems going to become mainstream with regards to the case manufacturers including it? I know you can get expensive cases that have built in water cooling but I don't know of any companies that sell OEMs that sell those.

Watercooled Laptop (actually it's an old news story), but just the other day when I was listening to CNET Radio, they were talking about water cooled laptops, supposedly someone has come up with a small enough, sealed system to watercool laptop CPU's and plans on putting it into mass production. Cant remember who though....

edit: fixed link
