I've seen Life as a House. His acting sucks in that too. Lucas needs a smack in the head for casting him and the kid in Ep1.

 
imo i don't think it's the acting as much as the directing. like natalie portman seemed really stiff in ep2 even though i know she's a good actress. i think lucas just doesn't know how to get better work from them.

I have not seen those movies.
I am basing my opinion on his superior performance in Clone Wars. If this was an aberration then clue us all in because he was a wooden plank in Star Wars.

Hmm...you do have a bit of a point there as Ewan (Obi-Wan) comes off pretty wooden as well and he's definitely a good actor. I still don't think even the best director could get any reasonable acting out of Hayden.....he's just flat-out terrible.

I heard that he is really good in Shattered Glass. He does suck in the SW movies though. I think Lucas is partly to blame, he can't direct worth sh!t. If you watch the making of Episode I on the DVD, he doesn't give any of the actors any direction. Everything is one take and then Lucas says "that's great!"
