Morning All,

Trying to tackle this bit of a mystery from another angle. I just bought an Acer ET430K 43" 4K monitor and while it is up and working in a dual monitor fashion the driver my Windows 7 pro 64-bit is using is the default monitor profile. I downloaded the driver software from Acer, but I cannot figure out how to install it.

Usually one can just right click on the INF file and select Install, but I get an error message stating it cannot be installed from this method. I am not aware of any desktop software from Acer that would manage the monitor driver loading so I am lost.

Suggestions?

Go to Device Manger -> Monitors -> (Your monitor you want to change) -> Driver -> Update Driver (point to .inf folder)

I was just pointing to the folder with the INF in it. When I stated I 'had a disk' I browsed and selected the actual INF file and that worked.
