sup all I think my 3870 got busted... really bad only work for 10months... the point is that it no longer send any signal... but at least generate some heat lol!!!!

any idea of what to do besides throwing it away....

Was it damaged by something you did (aftermarket cooler, overclocking, power spike) or did it just burn out?

If you didn't do anything to it and it quit working, RMA that thing back to the manufacturer. Even ATi cards typically come with a 1 year warranty.

no powerspike.. no nothing... it simply stop working...

is a radeon 3870.. and it doesnt even send signal.. when tested alone the cards...
the other one in the CF works fine alone

how better is the 4850 compared to the 4870.. and how much pump i get compared to a 3870CF???? any ideas... i am out of mind lol...

i know the 4870x2 is better than the 4870 alone and everyone else lol...

oh by the way it is worth to have the 2gb memory card... i ask because if the max of ram is 4gb in 32bit OS.... then u are going to have a big hole in the ram lol...

Maybe you used it too little 😛
- you did say Thirty-eight seventy, right?

who cares what happened? .. RMA it if you possible can .. while it is still under warranty and a good performer; especially as you say it is 10 months old

NewEgg *exchanges* most products for a year .. if not .. RMA it to the manufacturer
- what Brand is it?

My ASUS 4870/1GB also died - the one with the reference cooler after a few weeks and i got another 4870 to replace it with a different kind of cooler .. also ASUS - but now 'Dark Knight'

4870 is significantly faster than 3870; probably faster than 3870 Crossfire and 4850 is a little slower than 4870

- 4870x2 is significantly faster than 4870 and is at the top of the AMD graphics card lineup
