When a thread condones/teaches illegal activity..

http://forums.anandtech.com/me...=2141382&enterthread=y

This thread is an excellent example. But we all know how ubiquitous TV shows are on torrents and how movie/music downloading while frowned upon by the MPAA and RIAA is merely a joke and mention of those $10,000 fines only produces harsh criticism on a board like ATOT, but we all know that laws are laws. I still see this teaching people how to circumvent US Customs and how to violate US law. Just because it's something that most of us don't care about because so many other people probably have pirated a movie once in their lifetime, doesn't mean it's wrong.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to be an ass, but I guess part of why I want to bring this thread into question is still because I feel bitter about my who knows how long ban when I summarized that news report about how people were cheating toll and I was accused of providing too much information.

So I see how cheating toll is something that not many people do and I'm sure more people would have an issue with it than buying pirated movies in China but in my eye, this is a matter of enforcing rules and being fair to all members of ATOT. That is all.

That thread has been deleted. Most of the people in that thread were putting down the OP rather than trying to help him.
