my friend " Can you fix my car?"

me " Whats it doing?"

my friend " Whenever I make a right turn it goes gdugga gdugga gdugga gdugga"

me " sounds like a cv joint. I can fix it for like 150 bucks I think"

my friend " cv joint?"

me " yeah , constant velocity"

my friend " constant velocity? Last time it was a shift modulator. You keep coming up with stuff Ive never heard before. I swear youre making things up"

me " Want me to call around for parts?"

my friend " No. I think Im gonna wait"

A few weeks later.......

Me " I see your cars still moving"

my friend " Yeah I took it to a mechanic"

me " So what was wrong with it?"

my friend " CV joint......."

me " So how much he nail ya for?"

my friend ( sheepishly ) A little over 300.......

me " hmmm'

my friend "............."

Doesn't sound like much of a friend.

Actually hes been a pretty good friend.

I think its funny as hell. Something like this happened several years ago when his master cylinder went out. I told him 85 and he went to a mechanic. The guy replaced the master cylinder, rotors, pads, vacuum booster and even the lines. My friend said 600, Id think he paid more than that.
