When a car goes by you, where is most of the sound coming from?

Like when I'm in bed at night and it is quiet and a car drives by the house (going about 45mph on the road I live on prob), where is most of the sound from? Wheel contact with pavement, air being displaced, engine? Well other than the few that have really loud exhausts!

Around my neighborhood... it's their engine and their loud exhausts since they just seem to blow by my street.
I love it when a motorcycle just rips by though... closest i'll ever get to hearing a high revving engine everyday... weeeeeeeeeeeeeeennnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggggggg... :D

Exhaust on some cars. Wheels on pavement on all cars. Wind on all cars. Engine on some cars (some are loud some aren't too loud)...

lots of factors and they aren't the same for all cars (hence why they don't all sound the same)

I find cars sound noticeably quieter on snow than on pavement, cause the tires don't make as much noise. I think most of the noise comes from the wind being displaced, so that's why SUV's and big trucks are so much louder than cars when they whizz by.
