Link with video. :awe:

Sometimes you get a good feeling about something.
That's what contestant Caitlin Burke, 26, said after her remarkable "Wheel of Fortune" solve that won her a Carribbean vacation.
With just one letter revealed - "L" - Burke correctly guessed the seven-word phrase: "I've got a good feeling about this."
Even Pat Sajak, the show's host, was shocked, according to video from Sony Pictures Studios.
"Wait a minute. Let me get over this first," he said, smiling. "Is it just me, or was that the most amazing solve we've ever had?"

Wow, what are the odds of solving this?

Apostrophe is also a clue... a very big one because I can't think of any other 4 letter words with a second letter apostrophe besides I've.

The apostrophe is a bigger clue than the letter. Even if I had that whole word (can't think of any others), I wouldn't have a clue.

I'll?

EDIT: Well, I suppose that doesn't count since L is already on the board. Which is surely why someone picked L in the first place.

Yeah, she's the one who picked the L; she said she thought she knew the solution before picking a letter, so choosing the L was likely her strategy to be sure that the first word wasn't "I'll"

i guessed it with only one letter too before she came out with the answer. if "_'_ _" was "_'ll" after guessing an l, then things would be different... but if there's no l in "_'_ _" then it's got to be "i've". the single blank has to be an "a"... "i've got a good feeling about this" comes to mind and it fits, so you guess it. not that hard... it really looked more impressive than it was just because of all the blanks. the apostrophe and the l guess is what gave it away.

edit: lol, i just saw the video. she did the same thing i did.

but why would she solve it immediately instead of getting more $$$ first by getting more letters?

at least get the double letters like 'T' for quick $

She won a nice ass trip, more spinning could have = bankrupt. And I think she picked a single letter because it made the solving of it seem even better. A 2 letter solve would be bad ass, but only 1 letter is fucking awesome. If she was being honest when she said she knew what it was before she even spun, she should have solved it before she spun. That would have been epic.

I think it's plausible, unlike that price is right showcase showdown winner who guessed the EXACT price and it was some odd number.

If you watched one of her interviews, she mentioned she'd hit bankrupt on the previous puzzle, so when she got her turn at this puzzle, she put in one letter, figured it out and solved. Next spin could have given her another bankrupt and she'd have lost everything and her chance to solve it.
