Is there any way i can see who is on my cable modem network? Can i see who else is sharing my node?

More than likely not. All the cable stuff is going to a central CO. Which is then distrubted from there. It is all switched so the likelyhood you would EVER see anyone on it is impossible. Best bet is to contact your cable company and ask to see how many people are on your local area network. They should be able to say that.

In the beginning there was a problem with cable modems being able to browse (Through Network Neighborhood) to the other computers on a node. This was a big security issue, and most people who knew anything about networking decided it was a bad idea, so the cable companies went to every effort to disable that glitch. The only way you can find out how many people are sharing your bandwidth is to call the cable company and complain about your access speeds. Usually if you make a daily ritual out of harassing them they will open your pipe up. Good luck!
