Medal of Honor has gotten so-so reviews. Actually PC gamer has stated that it was kind of a let down considering that this is the same development house that produced the excellent Medal of Honor: AA They gave Pacific Assault a 78 I believe. Not shabby but not excellent.

Are you looking for a FPS? What about a strategy game?

Oh, what about Riddick? It's only $30 and everyone has been raving about the game. Have you played Painkiller yet? It's only $30-40 and has gotten rave reviews. It's a gorgeous game set in HELL! The action is a bit over the top though. Think Serious Sam but better.

There are a ton of games out there so you shouldn't have any issues in picking a favorite.

Yeah try Painkiller. You have to play the hardest difficulty to get everything, so it can be a challenge for a while.

MOHPA is a solid game but you need a very high end rig to run it well.

I REALLY liked the Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay. It may be loosely based on a movie, but everyone has posted rave reviews.

Unfortunately, it does not have multiplayer, but the single player campaign kept me entertained and consistently impressed for a good long time.

If you're a FPS fan, pick up a copy.

I suggest you buy games with high replayability with multiplayer options. IMO single player-based games, especially FPSes are not worth the money since you probably will go bored after it playing for a while before it goes to the bookshelf collecting dust.

Something simple, something fun. Something cheap from a independant game maker. Proves that you don't need a 300 dollar video card to play a 60 dollar game in order to have fun on a computer.

I get tired of big name games time to time. This sort of stuff fills the gap between solitare and Doom3.

It's worth checking out the demo at least.

Bridge constructor set is fun, too. It's realy different from the standard PC fair. Definately not for the "arghh. I am a hardcore gamer" type.
