What's your vote, Ground Control or Earth 2150?

Both are very awesome 3D real time strategy game. I tried Ground Control, it is cool and beautiful. But there are some shortcomings as well:

1. The unit types are too few. The in-game units available are too few. I'm a big fan of Total Annihilation, still miss the way rushing with 50+ tanks under the cover of 20+ attackers escorted by 30 fighters.

2. The game is too short, 30 missions totally, 15 per each side. This is NOT enough for my taste. GC only lasted 2 days in my PC.

3. No in-game music. Though the 3D environment is heaven-like, but living there without music is kinda boring. You should know how techno music in Command & Conquer inspired your mood for an counter attack, and the hopeless feeling while the orchestra is playing when u are losing in TA.

I haven't tried Earth 2150, anyone here playing Earth 2150 now? Read from gamespot, the game is pretty challenging and the detail is superb so I'm eager to try it too.

I have Ground Control, and played through the Earth2150 demo.
Both or systemhogs (in contrast to Dark Reign 2, which looks beautiful but cartoonlike).
GC: I agree with your comments, but like to ad that free maps are downloadable. My greatest objection to GC is its lack of in-missinsaving feature, if you play for two hours and then you make a little mistake, or your PC crashes or it is dinertime, back to start.

Earth2150: nice, solid classic RTS, but a for my taste much too complex micromanagement.

Check out dark Reign 2, I think DR2 and GC completement each other nicely.

The micromanagement u mentioned is the same as energy/metal production in TA and C&C?

I'm still looking for a decent RTS in 3D which has the same depth as TA in battle tactics and unit diversification.

Where can I read more about DR2?

I have GC, and I agree with you guys. The game is a blast, but it is too short. I really wish they would give us a in-game saving, too.

We're still playing Total Annihilation...don't give up on this game...the ones mentioned above are not better by enough to justify @ $40. IMHO
