What's your typing style ? *poll*

I think I would post more if if I could type instead of hunt and peck, of course that's not necessarily a good thing.

How fast can you type would be interesting to know.

: ) Amanda

i only have one home key and i almost never use it. :camera:? (of the keyboard, and maybe the cat)

I use my index finger and my middle finger of my right hand and my index finger of my left hand. I type without looking. It's my own unique style. (Usually average around 73wpm as well)

I look mostly at the screen, but I'll also take glances down at the keyboard as I'm typing. Eitherway, it's all-finger typing, not hunt and peck.

I never look at the keyboard. I get 70-80 WPM. I too use the home row style of typing. It works well, never need to look. Didn't look once during this whole message.

I never look at the keyboard .. as others, I type using the 'home row' style.. it seems the most efficient way of typing.🙂

I look sometimes, but usually I don't need to. Never properly "learned" how to type, other than starting with index fingers where the bumps are. I'm not that accurate, though, and this probably isn't all that fast.

both, depends, I can do "no look type" but sometime I just have to look for these keys:
!@#$%^&*

and no, ! doesn't = F, @ doesn't = U, # doesn't = C, $ doesn't = K, % doesn't = Y, ^ doesn't = O, and & doesn't = U

EDIT: Ok maybe a few rare exceptions where I'm typing an odd character that I rarely use.

Same here. I usually average around 100-110 wpm's. (As long as I don't have to look for the odd character)

my keys are in a mixed up order. looking down would be useless. Its always funny when a noob tries to use my keyboard for whatever reason and gets all confused.

I type without looking, but I don't type properly. My fingers are big and long enough so I never use my pinkies except for function keys.

Dvorak, baby. Dvorak. And I never look because, well, my keyboard still has all the QWERTY letters printed on it. That makes for entertainment when someone else tries to use my computer! 😀

I can hit about 115wpm as well. Dvorak rocks my socks.

Mixed. I don't use the home row because I never paid attention in typing class, but over the past 10 years of messing around with computers, I've learned how to type and usually don't look down at the keyboard.

i took one year of typing in high school, sophomore year

best class i took , i use that skill everyday now

Never took class, kind of just picked it up by myself. Average about 60-70 WPM.

(I do have to look sometimes when I try to type out symbols and numbers on the top row, I mistype them constantly)

Psuedo touch type. I don't look but I don't use all the proper fingers like I never use my pinkies for anything and I tend to use my index fingers for more letters than they should be. Started touch typing when I started playing starcraft and wanted to do all the hot keys

I just throw my hands on the keyboard. Whatever feels comfortable "is it", and I can find the appropriate letters. Its rather hard to explain, but I can type nearly perfect without needing to even glance at the keyboard.

I have been told I have the wierest typing style ever. I usually look a the keys, and can type 90+ wpm when doing it. But my fingers go all over the keyboard, crossing each other, and so on. Sometimes, my right hand will press keys on the left of the keyboard. Such as the letter E in the last "keyboard" I typed. My middle finger actually hit the "e". Not looking, I type much slower, around 40 wpm, and make more mistakes.
