Got it free? Fvck yeah play it. They finally got around to releasing a patch that was long overdue, but I never had a problem with it in older versions.

Sucks that they took so long to patch and lost a lot of players cause the 150 players games were a total blast before. Still, if I see a Kutu Arms Market game with 40 or 50+ players, I'm there instantly. I'd like some more CQB maps though...

It's infintitely more realistic than BF2.

The eye candy is still great even if not up to BF2 Standards

Summed up its a much better military sim than BF2, if you prefer a shallower but more active game then cartoony BF2 is better.

I play both, but now the novelty has worn off BF2 and the cartoony physics and idioctic players have started to get on my nerves I have gone back to playing JO 80% of the time. All the idiots have moved on and what you are generally left with in JO is 150 players battles that actually have teamwork and maturity! (UK servers at least anyway!)

I totally agree with Seeruk's comments. I too have gone back to JO after playing BF2 for a while. For me, JO is simply more fun, more immersive, and more challenging...but I keep hitting the [shift] key to sprint )

Great game. However the patch did nothing more than screw it up. A lot of custom maps now crash servers. The patch also trashed a supported mod, Reality. while Nova might be working with the people at Brutal-Arts on the Reality mod they have no plan to help out with the custom maps.

Just my rant but I still play the game. When Reality gets going again you should check it out. Brutal-Arts
