I was thinking of picking up a SX-1030B and I was wondering how well the cooling is on these things? Thanks

I have an Antec SX-1030 case and I like it a lot. I use MBM 4.18 to monitor my temps and I constantly get 35-42 degrees for the CPU and 30-38 for the MB. I am running a 550e @ 825 so I am quite happy with these readings. On my previous case, with the same MB and same configuration I ran about 40-48 degrees for the CPU and about 38-45 degrees on the MB.

:Di put together a new system last week. abit raid, tbird 900 retail, 2 maxror 30's and 128 crucial. besides the 2 case fans that came with the antec sx1030 i put a sunon 80m quiet in case front. highest cpu temp so far 98 f. i really think this case makes the difference. a friend put together same system but not a antec case and he was running quite hot - he had 2 case fans one in & one out. he has ordered the antec sx1030.

I have a 1030. The beauty of the SX-Antecs is that no mods are required to obtain excellent cooling. Cooling pretty much depends on fan selection, and not on case restriction at all. Consequently, very quiet fans can be used four at a time. I'm using four pcp&c silencers, but I believe that the L1A Panaflos are probably better. From there, you could move up to M1A panaflos,(or a variety of good med-flow fans) or even high-output Sunons, if you can take the noise.

Just using the 2 stock fans blowing out the back gives better cooling than many modified cases, simply because their power is not wasted overcoming a lot of restriction.

Dual Xeons wouldn't make this case flinch, with the right fans.
