What's your pool shooting style?

Just curious - how do you hold your stick when shooting pool? The V method (making a V with your thumb and forefinger) or the O method (making a loop with your forefinger over your thumb. I feel sorta like a kid using the O method - I see everyone else use the V but I can't ever get a good shot off that way.

The V.

The key to a good billiards stroke is a strong bridge and a smooth even stroke, keeping your eyes on the target.

Keep practicing, and it will come along fine with time.

<< V method, or if the cue ball is close to the bumper, i'll hold the stick between my middle and ring fingers. >>

Stick?

Cavemen bash each other over the head with a stick. Billiards is played with a cue.

And here all along I thought it was luck... so that's what I've been doing wrong.

I kicked a bit of ass in pool tonight using the V method. I love pool i wish i didn't have to pay for it at school🙁 I have a nice table at home, i miss it.

No need to jump all over prodigy - my mistake in the first place. Pool cue, pool stick, whatever 😀

Ok another question - how are you supposed to make a good V? All finger facings flat on the surface with knuckles hunched up? Or...?

I use the O method, but some people like Joony like to use the Broom method. Hold the stick in two hands and use it like a broom. 😀

My apologies, I didn't notice the first one, and I meant to put a 😀 at the end...

Same here.

I look around for a gun (since I don't have my own), I look around for a pool (" " " " " "), I point said gun at pool and pull the triggerdealy.

Wait. What are you guys talking about?

If you're kicking ass, then you shouldn't be paying for the pool. That is the losers job. He's also responsible for the next round, as well.

Umm, drunk.

But, really, I use the V method and I suck. My friend is awesome at pool and he uses the O method.

Use this information wisely.

Generally I like the V better but when I need some extreme english I go with the O method because it does offer a little more stability.
