What's your perspective on STD's?

It's been a while since we had an STD thread so why not have another one?

This is a topic that has interested me for a long while and i guess its just because they have been around so long and we know virtually nothing about them.

Anyone have any personal beliefs on how they are transferred (through sex obviously but why is what i mean) or just any comments?

Just looking for a semi-intelligent discussion on the topic.

If anyone is interested i will post some of my random ramblings on the topic.
 
I think that the Freshman Orientation video they showed us in college with extremely graphic picutres was disturbing.

I also know that I am not going to have sex with out the girl and I both getting checked for STDs.

Honestly, I'm not going to have sex with someone unless I'm in a solid/steady relationship with that person.

No, I would have sex with her even if I knew she was clean and on the pill. I won't have sex without love, and I'll probably wait until I get married.

That's not totally true since condoms don't offer complete protection against the really common viral STDs like herpes and hpv.

You can still get warts in your groin despite the condom. :Q

Cool 😛. I'm sure some of what i say has been scientifically proven wrong or is flat out silly but idk i just sit and think about random things at night when i can't sleep so you get the unedited thoughts of Maleficus.

The stupid idea I thought up tonight was what if each person has a 'unique attribute' kind of like an identifier or something or one of several, but basically each person has a type of identifier in them in respect to sexual intercourse ( other than sperm/egg cells ) just some special identifying cell or something. Well when a person is having sex with multiple partners all their 'identifiers' mix together and they react in such a way that it creates one of the many or maybe even a new adapted/adaptive string of the same type of STD. Which would mean the only way STD's were really spread were between sex w/ multiple partners or if a lot of people were just generally unclean and still had traces of the other person in/on them wen they had sex with another person and then it once again mixed and reacted and poof.

It would also make the 'typical male fantasy' extremely STD prone.

Once again like i said i don't exactly have a lot of knowledge of what i am talking about so it it very probable that what i said is completely stupid and makes no scientific sense or any type of sense for that matter 😛
 
Don't be a fool, wrap your tool.

That is the safest way of doing it, Just hoping that the lord above hasn't put you in bed with a viral cesspool or even that the girl by chance remembered to take her pill to prevent your dynamic duo becomming a trio in 9 months is wishfull thinking if all that's involved is casual sex without a prior relationship. With a relatioship comes knowledge and trust. knowledge that your partner is clean and takes the pill regularly. Then you may hit it without the rubber.

But for a sudden one night stand then deffinately only with a rubber... just don't be to drunk to forget this and please make sure the GF dosn't find out, cause if the STDs won't kill you she most certainly will 😀
 
Guys i'm not worried about getting STD's or anything, telling me to double bag it and whatnot isn't really the point of this convo.

I'm a virgin anway so 😀

Anyway i don't think my arguement was all that unbelievable, a lot of people have casual sex. A lot of people have sex without love etc etc.

sheesh talk about geeky.

Actually the most prominent STD: AIDS was originally transmitted from african monkeys to humans and from there spread thanks to our modern, mobile society. It has nothing to do with MAC adresses from various "units" being jumbled.

I think we should just not think about them and they will just go away.

Condoms don't work as good as everyone thinks.
The Pill is not 100% birth-control as everyone thinks.
There is no free love these days, best to find one and stick with them. That then mean to make sure marriage is the outcome you want with that person.

True, but you can also get herpes type I/cold sores (which is dormant in most ppl. to begin with) merely from close contact with someone.

I heard that "double bagging" is actually less effective as when you have two condoms on they rub together and a hole forms faster/easier than when using just one
