If you are a resident of the People's Republic of Taxachusetts, get a United Way "Teach The Children" plate.
Not only is the little graphic cute and the red, white and blue, very stylish but many cops will see you paid an extra $20 a year and issue a warning instead of a ticket. My brother had been pulled 2 times blatantly speeding but each time he got out of it because of his plates. The coversatiob basically went:
Cop: Like kids?
Brother: Yessir.
Cop: Yea, I have two of my own.
Brother: I hope to have two of my own someday too sir.
Cop: Well. not if you keep driving like that. Slow down son. it's good prectice when and if you have them.
Brother: Sorry sir. I'll keep that in mind.
Another bonus is that the letters and number are arranged in a strange way. Two letter horizontal on the left one third, then two letters or numbers followed by two letters. Confuses the hell out of out of state cops. My girlfriend was pulled over the Rhode Island in my car but got out of the ticket because my the cop couldnt' figure out the plate.
