What's your opinion on this quote?

"You chose to have a baby with a loser, that makes you a loser"

I just heard this on *ahem*Judge Judy *ahem*but it's something that I tend to agree with. People always complaining about thier child's mother or father, and never realizing that it's thier own fault that they're in the sh!tty situation that they're in. However, it seems politically incorrect to say so, everyone seems to think that being a single parent is some noble activity...

Anyway, what'sy our opinion?

What if you are some impressionable girl who was told that your man was in love. You get pregnet and by the second month he splits. He told you he wouldnt, he gave his word that he wouldnt, that he would stick by your side. And still, she splits. Does that make you a bad person, a "loser"?

I am not a loser, my son is not a loser and he will grow up to be a responsible, productive and contributing member of society. <--I am working my ass off to ensure this happens. He is already well on his way to being quite the extraordinary young man.

i suppose i should have extrapolated a bit... one of my best friends (guy) has 2 kids from 2 different women, and i don't think he nor his children are losers, even tho one of the moms seems to be... ANYWAY

it sounded to me like the female in the judge judy case KNEW the guy was a loser, but slept w/ him anyway, perhaps hoping the kid would make him all of a sudden fall in love w/ her

i know accidents happen, and people lie, but if you KNOW someone is a fekkin' dumbass loser, then don't sleep w/ them at all and you won't have anything to worry about

That's not exactly what happened to me....especially not the FIRST PART...but the second part is it, to a "tee" I was 25, and should've known better. She stopped taking the pill and neglected to tell me. We had been having major problems...I shou'd've been more careful. But I love my son. I'd do anything for him. He's The Man.

Sorta the hard-ass version of "If you lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas."

I think its essentially true. I LOVE these women who wail and moan about their child's father being a deadbeat, claiming they had 'no idea' he was such a deadbeat, but upon further inquiry, you learn that she knew from day one that the man:

- already had x children by x different women, none of whom he supported
- has been in an out of jail x times
- hasn't held a job for longer than a x months
- uses drugs

But, but, he said he loved me! Waaaaaaaa! Stupid b-atch

Remember, character doesn't matter.

one of the rare times i agree with ya tcsenter took the words right out of my mouth, from the emphasized LOVE to the "stupid b!tch" part.
