What's your one favorite Metallica album?

Gotta say Ride the Lighting first, Master of Puppets a close second. I think they really suffered from the loss of Cliff Burton.

Load sucks. Metallica now sucks. I don't think they suffered from the loss of Cliff, I think they suffered from growing old and earning money. Justice rocked. It's hard to say which my favorite album is since they have so many equally great songs on all their older ones. My favorite is all of them except Load and later.

I don't know it would have to be between justice and puppets.
I guess I'am odd I don't like load at all but reload has a couple decent songs on it and I like their latest stuff. Its real lame that there doing a soundtrack thing but I do like the song

hehe i got to know them with that album and i love it. Black Album is my 2nd favorite though.....i can't stand their previous work.....and their newest either, but Load & Black rules

My favorites are Master Of Puppets, Ride the Lightning, and Black Album, in that order. Load and ReLoad are "chick albums", too pop like for me.........

Actually, if you're an old time Metallica fan, you know that they were hard core until they started becoming somewhat 'fashionable' and 'mainstream' around '90-'91 ... every album that came after that started getting softer. Not that they were bad, but they became a little more 'alternative', and less 'thrash everything, destroy the world' .......
