Whats your "most annoying law"?

I just moved to NY from CO not long ago and I'm learning all these stupid laws they have here, pointless laws written by an overactive legislature.

In NJ you can't pump your own gas. (See earlier post)

Driving out here I noticed the levers on the gas nossles to keep it locked and pumping while you wait disappeared in PA and never showed up again (except in v. rare stations? WTF?) WHY?!?!?!

This is far more annoying than not being able to pump your gas in NJ, because you have to stand there and hold the nossle until its full!!!!! You can't walk away and wash windows,escape rain, etc...

What is the point of this? I lived in CO for 24 yrs, and no one I have ever known has overfilled thier tank bc the lever didn't release!! Gets my vote for "Most annoying law, EVER!" :|

I know this'll turn into flame haven, but:

I have 23 years of martial arts training. 2 years in the military. 10 years security/bodyguard/law enforcement experience. I can carry a gun concealed in over a dozen states. I'm licensed in many states for security, possession of firearms, heck, even fugitive retrieval in one. And yet...

I'm not allowed to carry a melee or throwing weapon. No sword, no combat knife, no throwing knives, no sai, no jitte, no tonfa, no chucks, no staff...WTF???

I can't fire a gun to wound, it doesn't work like that. Only thing I can do with it is kill. Gimmie a melee or throwing weapon and theres a good chance I can disable an attacker without killing them. Heck, if I could walk around with a staff I'd feel perfectly comfortable confronting a small group of people armed with knives, chains, boards, etc. Everyone screams till they're blue about the lethalness of guns, but then they won't let me carry something effective and nonlethal.

I have some real issues with gun laws too, but if I could carry melee/throwing I'd turn in my sidearm for anything other than work purposes. Happily.

Most annoying?
That's easy, not being allowed to ride a bike with no hands.
I got pulled over (on my bike) by a cop wih lights and a siren. Damn that was weird. I had no idea it was a law either. Managed to weasel my way out of $150 fine though.

I hate how they can pull you over for having things hanging from your rear veiw mirror, IMO thats just a law made so that cops can pull just about anyone over if they felt like it. Cuz they've done that to me just to look for alchol and weed, of course they didnt find any but still pissed me off that they profiled me and wasted my time.

Here in GA: no alcohol sales on Sunday (unless you go to a bar) and no beer over 6%. This really hacks me off as it prevents any of the good belgian abbey ales from being sold here as they're mostly 8% and up. Of course, you can buy a gallon of Jack Daniels at 45% alcohol....

This law was recently challenged to raise the limit and got shot down because our ignorant bible-thumping legislators though that "the kids" would be snapping up this stuff in droves due to the higher alcohol content. At $10.00 a bottle?!!?! I think not.:|

I don't like to get off the thread but creedog the seperation of church and state is not written down anywhere nor is it a law. It was an idea kicked around by the fore fathers. The no establishment clause keeps states from endorsing any religon.

One of my annoying laws would have to be "improper start." See if you gun the gas and squel your wheels you made an improper start. I drive a V8 that moves ~18lbs per hp but I have all-terrain tires that have good grip so I can gun the gas and blow away the rest of traffic with no squelling of the wheels.
