What's your honest opinion?

Which cools better, the Antec P180 or the Lian Li PC V1000? I might need some better cooling, but I like the Lian li better, what do you think? Better yet, are there any reviews comparing the two cases?

I think the Lian Li PC V1000 is a "better" case, but it's also 60-80% more expensive. So it's tough to compare the two. I think the P180 is a great case, and is a good price. I think the Lian Li is an awesome case, at a high price. I guess it just depends on how much you want to spend on a case.

My honest opinion.

I know this is a Canadian web site but look at this one. It's an Enermax with temperture display and fan speed control. Cripes, what more do you want in a case? And it's only $73 Canadian. That would be like $55 US or whatever.

I've heard good things about both. I've had an antec and the construction was fantastic. I could use it as a stool if I wanted to.

Dude, we're not yelling at you, we're just clarifying the question asked, since you seem to think that I was asking for simply the best case, in your opinion. Thanks for the Enermax idea, but the question was which was better between only TWO cases: P180 and V1000. Maybe you can, but I cannot go around and buy every case that catches my eye just so I can see how it is. Please don't think I'm being mean or yelling at you, I'm just trying to clarify the situation.

My HO is I have never owned a LianLi, but have the P180. I hate plugging this dang case all the time, but it is simply a very unique/super-quiet/extremely-configurable/very-good-cooling/nice-sized/nice-looking
case.

Cooling will probably be about the same between both cases, especially if you put all possible fans into the P180. I'd go with the P180 because it's cheaper and quieter.

I like the look of the V1000 a lot better than the P180, but the price really hits me. I bet they both cool about the same, the setup is a bit better in the V1000 though (upsidedown mobo, which I absolutely love now).

I actually hate the upside-down motherboard mounting. I helped a friend build his system into one (some Silverstone model) and also helped him change out the motherboard at a later time. PITA trying to do some of those cable runs. I actually had to mod his original power supply by extending the motherboard cables because they couldn't reach.

From someone who has not owned either, and indeed has seen neither in person BUT have read multiple reviews on both, I vote for the Antec.

Thanks guys I appreciate all the input. I'll have to wait and see if my new video card cooler solves my instability problems due to heat, but at least now I know which case to get. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to spend more to get the black version (just so all my components match).

Well my PSU is sacred.

All the wires fit PERFECTLY. I can even run the wires through the back of the case (instead of the little hole in the floor of the case) so they stay hidden, and they reach perfectly. I love it!

I have the Lian Li V1000. It's a nice case. The stock cooling is OK but with some higher CFM fans it will probably cool a lot better then the P180. I picked up 3 120mm Panaflos rated at 90 CFM. It will be a little louder but it will be awesome for cooling. Here's some pics of my rig.

I say go with the one you like best. I wouldn't imagine that there's much of a real difference between the two in terms of cooling. And yeah, I like the V1000 better too.

I prefer the P180 only because it's a reasonable price. the Lian-Li is way too much $... but I wouldn't be surprised if the cooling is just as good if not better on the Lian-Li.

The P180 is no slouch though, in any sense of the word.
