What's your gasoline costing?

Station I most often pass in Austin is 4.10 but I've seen as low as 3.79 the past couple days. Diesel well north of $5.

Bought gas for the first time in 3 months and it is just for my generator.

I just realized that the gas is often 10 cents cheaper at the Austin Costco, comparing to the Cedar Park Costco.

Also the HEB over by Round Rock Outlet Mall has cheaper gas than most gas stations and other HEBs around the area.

I have a feeling $2.00+ gas is going to be the new norm. Just like after 9/11 when it went to $1.00 and never really went back down. Once they hit a certain milestone they seem to keep it there. If people still buy it they have no reason to lower it. And people need to get to work, groceries etc so not like we have a choice.

The bigger impact is diesel because that affects truckers, farmers etc and that affects the price of basically everything else.

$50 to fill my tiny Miata yesterday from nearly empty, I think premium was $5.20. Luckily I only really drive for fun anymore and this thing gets 30mpg no matter what.

Oil change that I’m about to do this week was under $40 for filter and 5L of good synthetic … cheaper than a single tank of gas. I think that’s a first for me

Sure we do.

Well technically, you could just stop showing up to work, eventually get fired and then lose your house and everything you own, and stop doing groceries, and then eventually starve. But that's not exactly a choice anyone wants to make.

$1.99 per L, to me in real life that is $10 more per tank than in March and almost 3x compared to the summer 2020 low. Lucky I am relatively close to work and use a e-scooter when weather is dry, if I figure out a way to strap it on my back it will use it a lot more.

Filled up the Mrs. CR-V for $4.19 Sunday at Speedway. Mobile near me, and right off the highway is $4.49. A few miles from the highway it's $4.29.

In my experience, BJ's is the cheapest in your neck of the woods. I always gas up there on my way to or from the White Mountains if I have time (been working on the 4,000 footers and 52WAV in the summer).

Good point. It’s on the other side of the city from us, but my wife works near by so i'd be a good option for her.
